Sarig (rotis and mixed sprouts made in tangy sauce)

INGREDIENTS
1 cup mixed sprouts
4-5 regular rotis cut roughly
2 tomatoes chopped
1 onion chopped
2 tbspn green chillies chopped
1 tbspn garlic chopped
1 tbspn jeera powder
1 tbspn red chilly powder
1 tspn haldi powder
1 tspn garam masala
1 tbspn aamchur powder
2 tbspn olive oil
Few whole baby tomatoes
Chopped corriender
Salt to taste

METHOD
Step1 - Heat oil in a wok and add in the chopped garlic and chillies when it crackels add in the onion and tomatoes, followed by all the dry masalas.saute till oil seprates
Step2-Add in the mixed sprouts and 2 cups of water, cook and cover till sprouts are tender.
Step3-Add in the rotis and mix it well.Allow to cook fr a couple of mins.
Garnish and serve hot!!!

Veg.Burger

INGREDIENTS
1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
1 cup paneer crumbled
1/2 cup peas boiled and mashed
1/2 cup mix veg(carrot, french beans, , cauliflower) boiled and mashed
2 tbspn corn flour
1 tbspn chilly sauce
1 tbspn mix italian herbs
1 tspn ajinomoto
1 tspn jeera powder
1 tspn haldi
1 cup bread crums
Chopped corriender
Salt to taste
4 tbspn eggless myonese
Lettuce leaves
1 sliced cucumber
1 sliced tomato
6-8 burger buns

METHOD
Step1 - in a mixing bowl add potatoes, paneer, peas, mix veg, salt, chilly sauce, jeera powder, haldi powder, mix italian herbs, ajinomoto, cornflour and corriender. Mix all well
Step2 - Make pattice of the above mix.
Step3 - Coat the pattice in breadcrumb and shallow or deep fry.
Step4-Apply myonese on both sides of buger buns, lay it with cucumber,lettuce and tomato.
Step5-keep pattice in between the bun and serve!!!

Dal Palita Chawal

INGREDIENTS
3cups boiled rice
1 cup tur dal (washed and soaked in 4 cups of water fr 2hrs)
2 onions chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
1 cup corriender chopped
1 cup mint leaves chopped
4 tbspn garlic chopped
4 tbspn green chillies chopped
2 tbspn gram flour (besan)
1 cup dhudhi diced
12 pcs of drumsticks
2 tbspn jeera powder
2 tbspn red chilly powder
2 tbspn haldi powder
2 tbspn ghee
2 tbspn oil
10-12 curry leaves
5-6 koakam

METHOD
Step1 - Take the dal in a vessel and bring it to boil,add haldi and salt, make sure you are checking it as the dal should not crush.when done drain the dal and keep the water and dal seprately.
Step2 - in a pan heat 1 tbspn ghee and 1 tbspn oil, add jeera and wen it crackels add in the curry leaves followed by garlic and chilles, saute and add 1 chopped onion and cook till onion is olmost golden.Add in the tomatoes,1 tbspn jeera powder, 1 tbspn dhania powder,1 tbspn red chilly powder,corriender  and mint leaves, mix and saute till oil seprates.
Step3-Now add in the dal kernals and giv it a light mix.
Step4-Now in a high wall vessel layer boiled rice and dry masala dal, add 1 cup of boiling water over the last layer of rice,cover it with foil and let it simmer for 15-20 mins.
Step5-In a pan again follow step2, den add 2 tbspn of besan and cook while adding little by little dal stock.
Step6-Add in the dudhi and drumstick, cover n cook on low heat till dhudhi is cooked.
Step7-Add in tbe kokam.
Serve hot with layered rice n dal!!!!
